Digits Timer
Terms Of Use
Effective October 15, 2026
The terms for using the Digits Timer app on iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch.
1. Agreement
These terms are an agreement between you and Semanon Studios ("we," "us") for your use of the Digits Timer app on iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch. By downloading or using the app, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
These terms are with us, not with Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content. Your use of the app must also follow the App Store's rules, including the Usage Rules in the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions.
Our Privacy Policy explains what the app does with your information. In short: it stays on your devices.
2. The App And Your License
We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Digits Timer on Apple devices you own or control, as the App Store's rules allow. The app is licensed to you, not sold.
You may use the app for your own training and to run workouts for other people, including in a gym, a class or a team. A gym or coach may use it commercially on its own devices.
You may not:
- copy, resell, rent or sublicense the app
- reverse engineer it or try to extract its source code, except where the law allows this despite these terms
- get around its purchase, trial or passcode protections
- use it to break the law or to violate anyone's rights
Free features. The Clock, Stopwatch, quick Timer and video recording (with a Digits Timer watermark) are free. Other features need Digits Timer Pro.
Changes to the app. We may add, change or remove features in updates. Some features depend on Apple's software and devices and may change when Apple changes them.
3. Digits Timer Pro
Pro unlocks saved timers and the timer builder, iPad remote control and syncing, the Apple Watch app and saving workouts to Apple Health. It is sold in the app through Apple, in two ways.
| Plan | How it is billed | How it ends |
|---|---|---|
| Annual | Once a year, to your Apple Account. Renews automatically | When you cancel, at the end of the year you paid for |
| Lifetime | One payment. No renewal | It does not end while the app remains available |
Prices are shown in the app before you buy, in your local currency, and may differ by country.
Annual plan and its free trial. New subscribers may be offered a 14-day free trial. If you do not cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, the annual price is charged to your Apple Account and the plan begins. The plan then renews each year at the current price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date.
Canceling. Cancel at any time in iOS Settings › your name › Subscriptions. You keep Pro until the end of the period you paid for. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
Lifetime. A lifetime purchase gives you Pro for as long as we offer the app, on devices signed in to your Apple Account, and can be shared through Apple's Family Sharing. It is not a promise that the app will be available forever.
Launch price. The lifetime launch price is offered for a limited time after you first see it. When it ends, the regular price applies.
Moving from annual to lifetime. Buying lifetime does not cancel an annual plan. Apple will keep renewing it until you cancel it yourself in Subscriptions.
The 10-day trial with no card. After onboarding, the first time you use a Pro feature the app may start a free 10-day trial of Pro on that device. It needs no payment details, charges nothing and ends by itself. It is offered once per device, and we may change or withdraw it.
When Pro ends. Your saved timers are kept but locked, and Pro features stop working until you buy a plan. A workout in progress is allowed to finish. The free features keep working.
Refunds. Apple takes the payment and decides refunds. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. We cannot issue refunds ourselves.
Price changes. We may change prices. A change to the annual price applies from your next renewal, and Apple will tell you beforehand as its rules require.
Restoring. If you reinstall the app or change device, use Restore in the app to get back what you bought with the same Apple Account.
4. Health And Safety
Digits Timer is a timer. It does not give medical, fitness or training advice, and it does not know your health or your limits.
- You train at your own risk. Exercise can cause injury. Talk to a doctor before starting or changing a training program, especially if you have a health condition, are pregnant or have been injured. Stop if you feel pain, faint or ill.
- The starter timers are examples, not prescriptions. Timers such as Tabata, Sparring or Run / walk are common formats. Whether one suits you is your decision, or your coach's.
- Heart rate and calories are not medical readings. They come from Apple Watch and Apple Health and are shown for information. Do not use them to diagnose or treat anything.
- Do not rely on the app where a missed signal could hurt someone. A beep, vibration or notification can be late or missing because of volume, silent mode, a lost connection, a low battery or the system closing the app.
- Watch your surroundings. Place your device where it will not be hit or tripped over, and do not use the app where looking at a screen is unsafe.
If you run workouts for other people, you are responsible for their supervision and safety.
5. Workout Videos
You are responsible for what you film with the app and for what you do with it afterwards.
- Other people. Gyms, classes and sports fields are full of other people. Get permission before filming anyone who can be identified, follow the rules of the place you are in, and take extra care with children. Many places do not allow filming in locker rooms at all.
- Sound. Videos record sound. Some places require everyone's consent before a conversation is recorded.
- Remote recording. If you turn on Allow Remote Recording on an iPad, a paired iPhone can start that iPad's camera. You are responsible for who you pair with and for telling people in view of the iPad.
- Sharing. When you share a video, the terms of the app or service you share it to apply. Make sure you have the right to share it, including any music playing in the background.
- Watermark. Videos saved without Pro carry a Digits Timer watermark. Please do not remove it.
Videos are saved to your Photos library. We do not keep a copy and cannot recover a video you have deleted or that failed to save.
6. Connected Devices
An iPad can be controlled by paired iPhones and Apple Watches, and followed by other devices on the same network. If you set this up, you are responsible for it.
- Keep the passcode to people you trust. Anyone who pairs with an iPad can start, stop and change its timer, load and edit its saved timers, and, if you allow it, start its camera. Change the passcode or use Forget to remove someone.
- Followers. With Allow Followers on, any device on the same network running the app can show that iPad's timer without a passcode. Followers cannot control it.
- Shared timers. Saved timers sync between an iPad and the iPhones paired with it. An edit or delete on one device is applied on the others.
- Only connect to devices you may use. Do not try to guess a passcode or connect to an iPad whose owner has not invited you.
- Your network. These connections use your local Wi-Fi and are not encrypted. Use them on a network you trust. They depend on your network and on Apple's software, so we cannot promise they will always connect or stay in sync.
7. Your Content And Data
Your timers, workout history and videos are yours. We claim no rights in them, and we never receive them.
Because everything is stored on your devices, in Apple Health and in Photos, keeping it safe is up to you:
- We have no copy and cannot restore timers, workouts or videos that are lost, deleted or damaged.
- Deleting the app deletes its saved timers, workout log and settings from that device.
- Back up your devices if this data matters to you.
Please keep timer names and the iPad's name lawful and inoffensive. An iPad's name is shown to other devices on the same network.
8. Our Intellectual Property
The app, its design, its code, the Digits Timer name and logo, the timer digit typeface and the icons belong to us or to those who license them to us. These terms give you a license to use the app and nothing more.
If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them freely and without payment.
Apple, iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch and Apple Health are trademarks of Apple Inc. Other names used in the app, such as workout formats, belong to their owners. Digits Timer is not sponsored by or affiliated with any of them.
9. Disclaimers And Limits On Liability
No warranty. The app is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no warranties of any kind, express or implied, including that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, accurate to any particular precision, or fit for a particular purpose. Timing can be affected by your device, its settings and other apps.
Limit on liability. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for:
- injury, illness or death connected with exercise or activity timed, recorded or planned with the app
- lost or damaged timers, workouts, videos or health data
- missed, late or wrong beeps, vibrations, notifications, times, heart rates or calorie figures
- anything done by a person you allowed to control, follow or record on your device
- indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, or lost profits or revenue
Our total liability to you for all claims about the app is limited to the greater of the amount you paid for Digits Timer Pro in the 12 months before the claim and US $25.
Your legal rights. Some places do not allow some of these exclusions or limits, so parts of this section may not apply to you. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or takes away rights you have as a consumer where you live.
Your responsibility to us. If someone brings a claim against us because you broke these terms or the law while using the app, for example by filming them without permission, you agree to cover our reasonable costs and losses from that claim, as far as the law allows.
10. Ending These Terms
You can end this agreement at any time by deleting the app. Cancel any annual plan separately, since deleting the app does not cancel it.
Your license ends automatically if you break these terms. We may also stop offering or supporting the app. If we do, a copy already on your device may keep working, but we cannot promise it will on future versions of Apple's software.
Sections 4, 5, 8, 9 and 12 continue to apply after the agreement ends.
11. Apple-Specific Terms
Apple requires every App Store app with its own terms to include the following.
- Support. We, not Apple, are responsible for the app and for any maintenance and support. Apple has no obligation to provide either.
- Warranty. If the app fails to meet a warranty that applies by law, you may tell Apple, and Apple will refund what you paid for the app, if anything. Apple has no other warranty obligation for the app.
- Claims. We, not Apple, are responsible for handling any claim about the app, including product liability claims, claims that it fails to meet a legal requirement, and consumer protection or privacy claims.
- Intellectual property. If someone claims the app infringes their intellectual property rights, we, not Apple, are responsible for dealing with that claim.
- Legal compliance. You confirm that you are not in a country under a US Government embargo or designated a "terrorist supporting" country, and that you are not on any US Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- Other terms. You must follow any third-party terms that apply when you use the app, such as your cellular or Wi-Fi provider's.
- Apple's rights. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms. Once you accept them, Apple has the right to enforce them against you.
12. General
Governing law. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be heard in the state and federal courts located in California. If you are a consumer, you keep any protections and any right to sue at home that the law where you live gives you.
Age. You must be old enough to agree to these terms where you live. If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must agree to them for you.
Changes to these terms. We may update these terms. We will change the effective date above, and for changes that reduce your rights we will tell you in the app or its update notes before they apply. Using the app after that means you accept the new terms.
If part of these terms fails. If a court finds part of these terms unenforceable, the rest still applies.
Whole agreement. These terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about the app. If we do not enforce a term, we have not given it up.
